<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily and safely producing hydroxy(alkyl)piperazines by which the objective substances can be produced in high yield by one step, and which does not requires a high-pressure reaction. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the hydroxy(alkyl)piperazines includes subjecting dihydroxy(alkyl)ethylenediamines or the like, represented by formula (2) to intramolecular dehydration condensation in the presence of a Raney metal catalyst [in formula (2), R<SB>1</SB>is a substituent represented by general formula (3) (wherein, R is hydrogen or 1-4C alkyl; and n is 0 or 1)]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
