<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling an engine cooling fan motor, comprising: a switching unit for switching a drive power which is applied to an engine cooling fan motor; a current detecting unit for detecting a current flowing on a power path when the engine cooling fan motor is operated; and a control unit for selecting current limit for detecting the constraint of the determined engine cooling fan motor by receiving a rotational speed control signal of the engine cooling fan motor to determine the capacity or specifications of the engine cooling fan motor corresponding to a frequency of the rotation speed control signal, and for executing a constraint detection protection function of the engine cooling fan motor if a sensing current is greater than the selected current limit; and to a control method thereof.</p> |
