<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mainly provide a new anti-mutagenic agent that can inhibit activity of a mutagenic substance causing cancer. <P>SOLUTION: The new anti-mutagenic agent contains an extract of Hericium erinaceum as an active substance, and has a superior inhibitory action on a mutagenic substance.
