<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing cartridge that facilitates the mounting and dismounting operation of a cover member and has the cover member having improved usability by disposing an engaging portion of the cover member detachably mountable to the developing cartridge in a grip portion of the developing cartridge for operating the developing cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The cover member 30a that is used for covering an exposed portion of a developer carrying member 2a exposed from a frame body 5aA and is detachably mounted to the frame body 5aA includes first engaging portions 30a1 and 30a2 and second engaging portions 30a3 and 30a4.
