<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of a gas removing filter while always nicely maintaining scavenging performance of a gaseous chemical substance without wastefully using a scavenger. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaner is equipped with an air flow passage 1 capable of passing air (Air) to be cleaned, the gas removing filter 2 which is arranged in the middle of this air flow passage 1 and has a scavenger holding part 3 for holding the scavenger 4 for scavenging the gaseous chemical substance to be removed, and a scavenger adjusting device 5 for adjusting the holding state of the scavenger 4 in relation to the scavenger holding part 3 to available range. The scavenger adjusting device 5 is equipped with a scavenger supply means 6 capable of nearly uniformly supplying the scavenger 4 to the scavenger holding part 3 in the gas removing filter 2 or exchanging on it, an unused scavenger storage means 10 (refer to Fig. 2) capable of storing an unused scavenger held in the scavenger holding part 3 in the gas removing filter 2 without being deteriorated, and a switching means 16 (refer to Fig. 3) of the air flow passage 1, and switching selection of the scavenger holding region in the gas removing filter 2 is made. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
