<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which even when a recording material is caught in a space between a fixing member and an air nozzle as a result of jamming, the recording material may be easily pulled out without damaging a surface of the fixing member. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device for fixing a toner image on a recording material in a nip part formed by a heated fixing member and a pressing member for pressing the fixing member, comprises air discharging means for discharging air to blow against the recording material for separating the recording material from the fixing member. The air discharging means includes a tubular member through which the air is allowed to pass to be discharged from a discharge port, and a portion in the vicinity of the discharge port of the tubular member is made of an elastic body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
