Tetrahydrocannabivarin for use in the treatment of nausea and vomiting

The phytocannabinoid tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) for use in the treatment of nausea and/or vomiting wherein preferably the nausea and/or vomiting is caused by the effects of medication such as chemotherapeutic medicine. Preferably the daily dose of THCV is between 1mg to 2000mg. The THCV may be in an isolated or substantially pure form or may be in the form of a botanical drug substance where all or a substantial proportionof the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has been removed. Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) in combination with a chemotherapeutic agent is also provided.
