<p>An impact beam for a vehicle door according to the present invention comprises an inner layer (1); and an outer layer (2). One and more prepregs selected from a glass fiber prepreg, a glass fiber fabric prepreg, a carbon fiber prepreg, and a carbon fiber fabric prepreg are laminated in the inner layer. Also, the inner layer has a hollow rectangular structure. The outer layer (2) has a structure where (i) one and more prepregs selected from an aramid fiber prepreg, an aramid fabric prepreg, a hybrid fiber prepreg including an aramid fiber and a carbon fiber prepreg, and a hybrid fabric prepreg including an aramid fabric and a carbon fiber fabric and (ii) aramid braid prepregs are laminated. The vehicle door is made of prepreg materials in the hollow inner layer (1) and the outer layer (2). The prepreg materials are reinforced fiber resins. Therefore, vehicle weight can be reduced, and fuel efficeincy can be increased. Also, the vehicle door is made of (i) a prepreg including an aramid fiber or an aramid fabric, which has an excellent vibration reducing capability and (ii) an aramid prepreg in the outer layer (2), thereby further improving impact resistance and bending strength against local load.</p> |
