The method for encoding a screen image considering a content type comprises the steps of: analyzing a content type of each block of a screen image; setting a predetermined region in the screen image; determining an encoding mode of the blocks divided based on the predetermined region using the result of the analysis of the content type of each block of the screen block; and encoding the blocks divided based on the predetermined region using the determined encoding mode.</p>
