The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling power of a hair iron having an acceleration sensor, more particularly, to an apparatus for controlling power of a hair iron having an acceleration sensor, which includes: an acceleration sensor (SS) connected to a power drive unit (13) to generate a detection signal upon detecting an external impact; and an impact controller (30) having a controller (MCU), which generates a control signal to control an operation of the power drive unit (13) according to the detection signal obtained from the acceleration sensor (SS), wherein the power is interrupted when the hair iron is not used to block heat generated from an heater of the hair iron such that stability is improved, a comparer is provided to check an overload of the heater and control power supplied to the heater to stably maintain a temperature of the heater even without an additional temperature sensor such that a damage to a head of a user is prevented. |
