1. An implant adapted for attachment to a tibia during knee arthroplasty to accommodate the anterior cruciate ligament, the tibia having at least one of a medial and lateral compartment resected along a cut edge formed between a transverse cut and a sagittal cut, the tibia also having a longitudinal axis located within a dividing plane, the dividing plane extending parallel to a sagittal plane and at least a portion of the sagittal cut extending obliquely to the dividing plane, the implant comprising:
a body having a posterior edge, an anterior edge, an inner edge, an outer edge, a top surface, and a bottom surface, wherein the posterior, anterior, inner, and outer edges span the top and bottom surfaces of the body, and wherein the inner edge of the body corresponds to the sagittal cut and to the cut edge of the tibia such that when the implant is attached to the tibia, at least a portion of the inner edge of the body extends at an obtuse angle to the dividing plane in an anterior direction. |
