<p>Disclosed are a mobile voice phishing blocking system which blocks a mobile voice phishing call pretending to be an acquaintance, and a method for blocking mobile voice phishing. According to the present invention, the system comprises an acquaintance telephone number registration unit which receives telephone numbers of acquaintances registered by a terminal of a subscriber who joins a voice phishing blocking service; a call reception unit which receives a call and is requested to connect the call to a call receiving terminal; a service member determination unit which determines whether a telephone number which is to receive the call is a telephone number of a subscriber to the service; an acquaintance determination unit which determines whether a telephone number which sent the call is a telephone number of an acquaintance of the subscriber; a call originating location inquiry unit which inquires about location information of an originating terminal based on information of the call; and a call connection unit which connects the call to the call receiving terminal by determining the call is not a voice phishing call if a location information value exists, or which blocks connection of the call by determining the call is a voice phishing call if the location information value does not exist. According to the present invention, the system and the method protect a call receiver from voice phishing scam by blocking voice phishing calls impersonating an acquaintance of the call receiver.</p> |
