PURPOSE: A compressor is provided, which can prevent moisture and foreign material from penetrating into a bearing by shielding the bearing using a sealing member and a cover. CONSTITUTION: A compressor comprises a nose portion(54), a pulley(60), a bearing(63), a sealing member(66), a snap ring(70), and a cover(80). The rotary shaft(52) passes through the nose portion from the front head(50) of the compressor. The nose portion has a fixing groove(54') which is recessed on the outer circumference. The pulley is installed in the nose portion of the released front head to be rotated. The bearing supports load of the pulley. One side of the sealing member is caulked and fixed. The sealing member seals the bearing. The snap ring prevents the bearing from moving against the pulley. The cover and snap ring are inserted into the fixing groove of the nose portion and prevent penetration of the foreign material and moisture into the bearing. |
