A medical device coated with a novel lubricious coating is disclosed. The coating contains a pre-oxidized hydrophobic polymer, a cross-linking agent, a silicone or siloxane polymer, a slip agent and a catalyst.

1. A medical device having a cured lubricious coating on at least one surface, wherein the cured coating comprises:
a silicone polymer, wherein the silicone polymer comprises polydimethylsiloxane; a silicone cross-linking agent, said cross-linking agent comprising methyl hydrogen polydimethyl siloxane a non-silicone hydrophobic polymer powder comprising particles, wherein the particles have an oxidized surface layer, said polymer comprising polypropylene; a slip agent; and, a catalyst.
