an annular brush seal including
a brush body pivotally mounted in the stator, andfibers fixed to a peripheral surface of the brush body and inclined at an angle α relative to a plane orthogonal to the rotation axis; and adjustment means for adjusting the angle of the fibers to adjust a clearance between a free end of the fibers and the rotary part, the adjustment means including
inclination members that are mounted on and firmly fastened to the peripheral surface of the brush body so as to protrude radially from the peripheral surface, andpressure members that contact the inclination members to act respectively on corresponding inclination members to modify the angle of the fibers.
