The present invention relates to a joint connection structure of a steel member having a closed section which can easily connect steel members having closed sections used for square columns and round columns used for building structures and steel box bridges used for engineering structures and enhance constructability and structural stability because the steel members can be connected by bolts from the outside when the steel members are joined in the longitudinal direction. The joint connection structure of a steel member having a closed section according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises an upper steel member which is spaced apart from the lower end part at a predetermined interval and has at least one bolt insertion hole formed at the same height and an elongated guide hole which is formed in a vertical direction of the bolt insertion hole and has an interval narrower than the bolt insertion hole; a lower steel member which is spaced apart from the upper end part at a predetermined interval and has at least one bolt insertion hole formed at the same height and an elongated guide hole which is formed in the vertical direction of the bolt insertion hole and has an interval narrower than the bolt insertion hole; and connection plates, each of which has a bolt insertion hole and a guide hole of the same size at positions corresponding to the bolt insertion hole and the guide hole and which are mounted on inner opposed sides or outer opposed sides of a steel member joint to be put over the lower end part of the upper steel member and the upper end part of the lower steel member at the same time; and a connection bolt for connecting the steel member and the connection plate in the guide hole by a nut, such that a head part is located inside the steel member. |
