1. A method of determining a characteristic of a signal to be transmitted from a wireless transmitter in a telecommunications network, the wireless transmitter comprising a measurement receiver, the method comprising:
determining, using a signal characteristic determination hardware and on the basis of at least one signal being supplied to the transmitter for use in forming the signal to be transmitted from the transmitter, a first characteristic of the signal to be transmitted from the transmitter over a first time period; determining, using the signal characteristic determination hardware and on the basis of the at least one signal being supplied to the transmitter, a second characteristic of the signal to be transmitted from the transmitter over a second, different, time period; and determining, using the signal characteristic determination hardware and on the basis of at least the first characteristic, the second characteristic and a measured characteristic of the signal to be transmitted from the transmitter that is measured at the measurement receiver over the first time period, a third characteristic of the signal to be transmitted from the transmitter for the second time period. |
