<p>The present invention relates to a composite metal oxide catalyst and a method for manufacturing polyester using the same. The metallic bond compound according to the present invention has higher catalytic activity than antimonial catalyst and conventional titanium catalyst, is readily and stably synthesized, exhibits sufficient polymerization activity even with a small amount and can be used as an eco-friendly catalyst for polymerizing polyester. Also, when polyester is manufactured using the composite metal oxide according to the present invention, the catalytic activity is not decreased by phosphorus (P) used as a heat stabilizer to reduce pyrolysis during hot melt molding and a smaller amount of phosphorus than ever can be used. Therefore, less pyrolysis is performed, thus yellowing phenomena are reduced and high viscosity can be maintained. Hence, the present invention can be applied usefully in manufacturing polyester with excellent physical properties, especially polyethylene terephthalate.</p> |
