发明名称 Systems and methods for monitoring database replication
摘要 Data processing systems and methods are provided that include a relational database and an application program that performs a data processing step on data belonging to a pre-defined entity stored in the relational database. The relational database and the application program may be linked by an interface that provides an intermediate layer for extracting a self-contained temporary table out of the relational database that contains the data belonging to a user selected entity. The disclosed systems and methods may be used for various data processing purposes, including monitoring database replication.

主权项 1. A computer-implemented data processing system, comprising: a memory device storing: a relational database comprising database tables and relationships, the database tables comprising data belonging to a plurality of entities, and further comprising primary and foreign keys, wherein the primary and foreign keys define relationships between database tables, the relationships constituting one or more relationship paths, each relationship path having a root;instructions of a first program; andinstructions of a second program; a first processor executing the instructions of the first program to: display a list of the entities;receive a user selection of one of the entities; andprocess data belonging to the user-selected entity; and a second processor executing the instructions of the second program to: store a mapping table, wherein the mapping table assigns a main table to the user-selected entity, the main table including a portion of the data belonging to the user-selected entity, wherein the main table is the root of relationship paths among related tables that relate to the user-selected entity;generate a self-contained temporary table by reading the main table assigned to the user-selected entity, resolving the relationship paths between database tables that contain data of the user-selected entity, and reading the related tables, wherein the self-contained temporary table contains data of the user-selected entity, andwherein the primary and foreign keys are omitted from the self-contained temporary table; andprovide the temporary table to the first program, wherein the first program processes self-contained tabular input; andthe instructions of the second program comprise instructions for implementing an object oriented model.
