<p>The present invention relates to a method for stabilizing heavy metals in contaminated marine sediment. The method according to the present invention can be applied usefully in stabilizing contaminated marine sediment as oxides and heavy metals in the shape of organic matters, which account for a large portion of the contaminated marine sediment, is converted into a state of low solubility and mobility by a stabilizing agent such as red mud, oyster shells and mixture thereof and the amount of eluted heavy metals can be reduced greatly.</p> |
