FIELD: electricity.SUBSTANCE: connector for an electric cable with core surrounded by conductors comprises an insert with axial bore to receive the armoured cable core and a body with opening at its proximal end and cylindrical outer surface in essence. The opening is connected to the cavity having a distal area to receive the insert. The distal are has the first inner surface with the first inner diameter. The cavity has the second area, which is shifted proximally from the distal area and has the second inner surface with the second inner diameter having dimension to receive the cable conductor and their crimped section. The cavity has the third area additionally, which is shifted proximally to the second area and has the third inner surface with the third inner diameter having dimension to receive the cable conductor and their crimped section. The third inner diameter is more than the second inner diameter.EFFECT: manufacturing of a connector, wherein the variable inner diameter of its body promotes crimping at the cable conductors in many axially placed areas with increased compression load thus increasing reliability of connection to the cable using the only crimping die.14 cl, 14 dwg |
