The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for managing a memory. The disclosed memory management method comprises the steps of: allocating an empty page of a physical memory for reference data according to execution of an application program to map the empty page to a virtual memory; checking a physical address of the physical memory where the reference data is loaded; mapping the checked physical address to the virtual memory where the empty page is mapped to map the reference data; and cancelling the allocation of the allocated physical memory when the reference data is mapped to the virtual memory. Therefore, the method and the apparatus can prevent the duplication of reference data required from an early stage of execution of an application when a plurality of process level parallelization are performed with respect to the application analyzing target data based on the reference data, and can prevent input and output, occurring due to reference data, is removed from a memory cache due the use of target data to support the analysis application to efficiently use the system, thereby increasing the amount of computation per unit time.
