<p>The invention relates to the production of constructional materials, namely foam glass mass in the form of slabs. Technical problem to be solved by present invention is to create a simple method for production of foam glass articles of large dimension using unsorted cullet, said method being with low energy inputs. The proposed method for production of foam glass mass in the form of slabs comprises the steps of: preparing glass powder with amorphous silicon dioxide added to it; preparing an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide with a foaming agent added to it; intermixing said glass powder prepared as above with said aqueous solution prepared as above at the mass ratio of amorphous silicon dioxide to sodium hydroxide within the range of 1 to 0.15÷0.25 in order to obtain a wet raw material; forming wet raw slabs from said wet raw material; drying said wet raw slabs by heating them to a temperature within the range of 90 to 120 Celsius degrees in order to obtain binded raw slabs; placing said binded raw slabs in a tunnel kiln or a bell-type furnace on pallets and foaming at a temperature within the range of 700 to 800 Celsius degrees in order to obtain foam glass mass in the form of slabs.</p> |
