FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endocrine surgery, and can be used in surgical management of follicular thyroid cancer. The thyroid is approached. The visceral layer of the intracervical fascia is incised, and the inferior laryngeal nerve is recovered on the resection side. Thyreotomy is performed above the tumour. The tumour is incised completely, and its borders are specified. Extrafascial resection of the thyroid lobe with the tumour is performed at 2-3 mm from the tumour border towards the intact tissue. A continuous suture is used to close the visceral layer of the intracervical fascia above the inferior laryngeal nerve.EFFECT: method enables providing the more effective efficacy of surgical management of follicular thyroid cancer by eliminating the involvement of the inferior laryngeal nerve into the postoperative adhesive process within the thyroid resection, reducing the number of recurrences, as well as avoiding substitution therapy with thyroid hormones in the remote postoperative period.2 ex |
