The present invention relates to a novel compound, a fluorescent material including the same and a catalyst for transesterification including the same. The present invention provides novel [Zn(tpmd)(H_20)](N0_3)_2·7H_20 (1) and [Cd(tpmd)(H_2O_2)](NO_3)_2·4H_2O·4CH_3OH (2) complexes of a three-dimensional structure as complexes by Zn^II and Cd^II including an N, N, N′, N′-tetrakis(pyridin-4-yl)methanediamine (tpmd) ligand. The compound exhibits strong emissions at 397 nm and 361 nm. A compound of chemical formula 1 exhibits effective catalytic activity in transesterification on various ester as compared to a compound of chemical formula 2. |
