[Class 31 (i)] A rotary cutter for cutting rings from sheets or slabs of rubber &c. comprises a chuck 3 in which are clamped concentric inner and outer cutting edges 1, 2, each comprising one or more safety razor blades. The cutting edges 1, 2 are spaced apart by a ring 7 and are clamped in position by the expansion of a slotted portion 15 of the cutter head by means of a screw 22, and the contraction of a slotted sleeve 8 by means of a screw ring 9. The cutting edge 1 extends below the edge 2. The rubber 30 to be cut is supported on a resilient cushion 31 and is held in position by a ring 34. |
