Provided are: a vaccine composition for birds, which contains a structure containing an O-antigen originated from a gram-negative bacterium (wherein a whole cell is not included within the scope of the structure) as an active ingredient; and a method for producing the vaccine composition. In the present invention, a structure containing an O-antigen originated from a gram-negative bacterium (e.g., a lipopolysaccharide) is used as an antigen for the vaccine. Therefore, the occurrence of a vaccination reaction can be reduced and the amount of an injection solution can also be reduced compared with those in conventional whole cell vaccines, and a multi-mixed vaccine can be prepared. |
