Provided is a motor controller capable of identifying electric source voltage abnormality and recovery abnormality. The motor controller comprises: an inverter which coverts a DC voltage into an AC voltage and drives a motor in a reverse mode, and converts the AC voltage from the motor into the DC voltage and supplies the voltage to a recovery resistor in a recovery mode; a switching unit which connects the recovery resistor to the inverter when the DC voltage exceeds a threshold value; and an on-off time detection unit which detects an on-time and an off-time of the switching unit; and an abnormality determination unit which uses different threshold voltages in the reverse mode and the recovery mode, respectively, to determine that the electric source voltage is abnormal when accumulated turn-on time of the switching unit exceeds the threshold value of the reverse mode in the reverse mode, and to determine that the recovery is abnormal when the accumulated turn-on time of the switching unit exceeds the threshold value of the recovery mode in the recovery mode. |
