The present invention relates to a hinge pin for connecting two link members in order to rotate and a manufacturing method thereof and, more particular, to a hinge pin for connecting two link members in order to rotate and a manufacturing method thereof, which can prevent the separation of a hinge pin from two link members through the rotational operation of the two link members. To be more specifically, the hinge pin includes an inlet path at one end thereof in the longitudinal direction, and an outlet path on the outer circumferential surface in order to communicate with the inlet path. A cylindrical combining end with a smaller diameter than the one end protrudes from the one end. The edge of the one end forms a rotary shaft having a projection, and forms a supporting plate having a combining hole and an inserting hole at both ends respectively. In the manufacturing method, the combining hole on the supporting plate is inserted into the combining end of the rotary shaft in order to be hung on the projection of the rotary shaft so that the combining end can protrude through the combining hole. Then, the combining end protruding through the combining hole is irradiated with heat, and is bent outward through a forging process using a punch which has a punch face with concave shaped edge at one end thereof, so that the supporting plate can be inserted and compressed between the bent combining end of the rotary shaft and the projection, thereby preventing the separation of the supporting plate from the rotary shaft due to rotational force by the rotational operation of the two link members. |
