PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device in which the time required for initialization is reduced and a semiconductor device in which power consumption is reduced.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device includes a first drive circuit, a second drive circuit, and a memory cell array. The memory cell array has a plurality of memory cells which are arranged in a matrix form. Each of the plurality of memory cells has first and second transistors. One of a source or drain of the first transistor is electrically connected to one of a source or drain of the second transistor. A gate of the second transistor is electrically connected to the other of the source or drain. During an initialization period, for each of the plurality of memory cells, the first transistor is set to an off-state and the second transistor is set to an on-state, so as to write identical data to the plurality of memory cells at a time. |
