PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified metal oxide particulate powder excellent in flowability, dispersibility into dispersant, and dispersion stability.SOLUTION: The modified metal oxide particulate powder is a powder of metal oxide particulate (except for zirconia particulate) which is surface-finished with organic metal compound and which has an average secondary diameter (D)(lazer method) in the range of 5 to 500 nm, an average primary particle diameter (D)(TEM method) in the range of 5 to 500 nm, and a ratio (D)/(D) of average secondary particle diameter (D) to average primary particle diameter (D) in the range of 1 to 10. The organic metal compound is a compound represented by the following formula R-MX, and the amount of surface finish with organic metal compound is in the range of 1 to 300 pt.wt. as R-MOto 100 pt.wt. of metal oxide particulate as solid content. |
