<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform photographic setting suitable for a write-once medium without a complicated operation, when the write-once medium is used for an external recording medium.SOLUTION: An external recording medium for recording image data obtained as a result of photographing is mounted to the imaging apparatus. When the external recording medium is mounted to the imaging apparatus, the imaging apparatus checks the properties of the external recording medium and obtains medium property information. Then, if the medium property information indicates that the external recording medium is a write-once recording medium restricted in rewriting, the imaging apparatus changes photographic setting of the imaging apparatus to a state suitable for the write-once medium.</p> |
