PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool an information processing device.SOLUTION: An air conditioner inhales the air discharged from an information processing device and cools the inhaled air. The air conditioner discharges the cooled air. Furthermore, the air conditioner acquires a cooling status, determines whether a cooling capacity exceeds an upper limit value on the basis of the acquired cooling status, and reduces an amount of discharged air if determining that the cooling capacity exceeds the upper limit value. For example, the air conditioner calculates, as the cooling status, a heat load using the amount of discharged air and a difference between a temperature of the discharged air and a temperature of the inhaled air, and determines that the cooling capacity exceeds the upper limit value if the calculated heat load exceeds a predetermined threshold. Alternatively, the air conditioner measures the temperature of the discharged air as the cooling status, and determines that the cooling capacity exceeds the upper limit if the measured temperature exceeds a set value. |
