摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthesis method capable of supplying, inexpensively and easily under conditions capable of realizing a scale-up goal, a hexaphenylbenzene derivative to which substituents are introduced alternately and to provide a hexaphenylbenzene derivative heretofore unobtainable efficiently.SOLUTION: In the provided method for manufacturing a hexaphenylbenzene derivative expressed by a formula (II), at least one reagent selected from among tert-butyllithium, p-(dimethylamino)phenyl lithium, and mesityllithium is exerted, within an organic solvent at a low temperature, onto a hexaphenylbenzene derivative expressed by a formula (1), and, following temperature elevation, the resulting product is reacted with an electrophilic reagent.</p>
