The invention relates to an emergency exit system for a rail vehicle (1), wherein the system comprises steps (2) and the rail vehicle (1) is equipped with a securing point (6) for a brace (3) in the region of a lateral passenger door opening and with a securing point (5) for steps (2) below the passenger door opening. The steps (2) are arranged parallel to the vehicle longitudinal direction in the use position, and the brace (3) is connected to both the corresponding securing point (6) in the region of the lateral passenger door opening as well as to a securing point (7) on the uppermost step of the steps (2). |
