A graphene fiber and a preparation method therefor. The graphine fiber is a composite fiber of a metallic nanowire-doped graphene fiber. The main components of the composite fiber are graphene and metallic nanowires, where the metallic nanowires account for a mass ratio between 0.1% and 50%, the graphene is in a sheet morphology, and the metallic nanowires and the graphene sheets at the same time are arranged in parallel along the axial direction of the graphene fiber. The metallic nanowire-doped graphene fiber is a novel high-performance multifunctional fiber material, implements greatly increased fiber conductivity by metallic nanowire doping, while at the same time presents a great tensile strength and excellent toughness, and has a strong potential application value in multiple fields, such as serving as a lightweight flexible lead wire.
