PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-based sintered alloy for sliding members which has improved seizure resistance and its production method.SOLUTION: In a metal structure of an iron-based sintered alloy for sliding members, a copper phase and pores are dispersed in a matrix which has an entire composition of 10-30 mass% Cu, 0.2-2.0 mass% C, 0.03-0.9 mass% Mn, 0.36-3.65 mass% S and remaining Fe and unavoidable impurities and is based on a martensite structure, and sulfide particles are deposited and dispersed in the matrix and the copper phase. The ratio of the sulfide particles dispersed in the matrix is 1-30 vol.% relative to the matrix. |
