PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing nanocomposite particle using a fluorine-containing alcohol generating no perfluorooctanoic acid nor the like even when released in the environment while having a unit easily decomposed into a short chain compound, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: A fluorine-containing nanocomposite particle is produced by condensation reaction of a fluorine-containing alcohol R-A-OH (R: a polyfluoroalkyl group where some of the fluorine atoms in the perfluoroalkyl group are substituted by hydrogen atoms, and A: an alkylene group) with alkoxysilane in the presence of an alkaline or acidic catalyst.
