<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which does not require the use of an excessive number of sample solutions for a volume or dilution degree range of interest.SOLUTION: In the method for determining a volume of a sample solution in a vessel or a dilution degree of the sample solution with a diluent in one or more vessels, the sample solution and the diluent are mixed, and absorbance of the mixture of the sample solution and the diluent is measured at one or more wavelengths allowing detection of a plurality of different detectable light absorbance spectral features, and the volume of the sample solution added to the vessel and/or the dilution degree of the sample solution with the diluent is determined on the basis of absorbance measurement information. One or both of the sample solution and the diluent contain, in a unit volume, one or more dyes selected so that a plurality of different detectable light absorbance spectral features are produced in the mixture for a range of volume and/or a range of dilution degree.</p> |
