The present invention relates to an anti-algal bloom composition containing, as an active ingredient, a water-soluble free amine chitosan having an anti-algal activity against algal-bloom-inducing algae, the water-soluble free amine chitosan according to the present invention exhibiting superb anti-algal bloom activity of suppressing algal-bloom by directly inducing the elimination of algal-bloom-inducing algae, and being non-toxic to the cells of the organisms in the water, the anti-algal bloom composition, containing the water-soluble free amine chitosan as an active ingredient, can be effectively used as a safe anti-algal bloom composition in fresh-water ecosystems such as solidified dams, reservoirs, lakes, golf course hazards, ponds, fresh-water aqua-farms and fishing sites. |
