<p>An outdoor unit is provided with: a casing (1) which has a suction opening (6) and a discharge opening (2); an outdoor heat exchanger (7) which, within the casing (1), exchanges heat between refrigerant and air; an outdoor fan (4) which has rotatable blades and which forms an air flow which flows from the suction opening (6) through the outdoor heat exchanger (7) to the discharge opening (2); and a motor support (30) which is provided downstream of the outdoor heat exchanger (7) in the direction of the air flow and which supports the outdoor fan (4). In a horizontal or vertical cross-section of the outdoor heat exchanger (7), heat exchange sections (7a-7d), which are heat exchangers, are arranged in a substantially wave shape or a substantially zigzag shape, and the outdoor heat exchanger (7) is configured to have heat transfer pipe bend sections (72b) which connect adjacent heat exchange sections by piping. The motor support (30) has: supports (30a) which are affixed within the casing (1) so as to be perpendicular to the air flow; and a support section (30b) which is affixed to the supports (30a) and which supports the outdoor fan (4). The supports (30a) are provided with bend sections (40) which increase the distance between the supports (30a) and the blades (4a).</p> |
