The invention takes the form of a device or body (1), such as a hearing tube or stethoscope, to be used for auscultation and listening to the internal sounds of human or animal bodies, in which the sound is captured by means of a bell (2) that can be positioned on a person or animal's body. The system is characterised in that it comprises a microphone block serving as a means for acquiring the sound from the bell (2) and, downstream of the microphone block (3), a filter (4) serving as an element for processing the signal which is transmitted to an amplifier (5) and subsequently transmitted via Bluetooth (6) to a wireless terminal (7), such as a mobile phone or tablet. The system also comprises a microcontroller (9) and a screen (11) that displays the heart rate while the auscultation is being performed, the entire system being powered by a rechargeable battery (10).
