<p>Disclosed are a network management system, a gateway server, a method of the gateway server to relay communications, a mobile communications terminal, and a method of the mobile communications terminal to control keep alive. According to the present invention, the network management system comprises: a service server which provides a network communications service using internet protocol (IP); a mobile communications terminal which transmits a keep alive packet to maintain a push session with the service server; a push GW server linked with an operating system (OS) link server and the service server, wherein the OS link server is linked with an OS installed in the mobile communications terminal; and a push server which receives the keep alive packet from the mobile communications terminal and checks presence information of an application, and if a push message is received through the push GW server, delivers the corresponding push message to the mobile communications terminal. If there is a problem in the network, the push GW server transmits to the OS link server a keep alive termination request message which requests a keep alive termination of the mobile communications terminal.</p> |
