PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate image data for making it possible to record a high-quality image on a recording medium.SOLUTION: An image processing device generates N-ary image data (M>N≥2) from M-ary image data. Thereafter, the gradation value of each pixel of the N-ary image data is assigned to any of N representative gradation values among L gradation values of L-level gradation (L>N). Then, in a pixel row, of the N-ary image data, comprising a plurality of pixels corresponding to a plurality of dots on a recording medium to which a liquid discharged from one delivery port of a recording head can be shot, each of the representative gradation values of pixels belonging to the pixel row is corrected to a corrected gradation value by adding thereto a correction value for correcting a variation in the liquid amount of the discharged liquid corresponding to one discretionary delivery port. Then, the corrected gradation value for each pixel of the N-ary image data is quantized to N-level gradation, whereby input image data is generated. |
