PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing nano silica composite particle using a fluorine-containing alcohol generating no perfluorooctanoic acid nor the like even when released in the environment while having a unit easily decomposed into a short chain compound, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: A fluorine-containing nano silica composite particle consists of a condensation product of a fluorine-containing alcohol represented by the general formula [I] and alkoxysilane with a nano silica particle. It is produced by condensation reaction of a fluorine-containing alcohol with alkoxysilane in the presence of a nano silica particle by using an alkaline or acidic catalyst. Formula [I]: RF-A-OH (RF is a polyfluoroalkyl group where some of the fluorine atoms in the perfluoroalkyl group are substituted by hydrogen atoms; and A is an alkylene group). |
