A zeroing method and zeroing device for an optical-time domain reflectometer (OTDR). The zeroing method comprises: prior to activating the OTDR, a zeroing signal is transmitted while a laser is in an off state; and, a zeroing processing is performed on the basis of the zeroing signal. Embodiments of the present invention are capable of utilizing an idle time prior to a test or during the test to perform feedback zeroing of a receiver circuit, thus reducing the impact of an offset voltage, while at the same time solving the problem of operational amplifier zero-drift, increasing the detection capability of the OTDR, and overcoming the shortcomings of the non-intelligence of a manual zeroing method and of a measured waveform difference introduced by an automatic zeroing method. |
