CHIRALLY COUPLED CORE OPTICAL FIBRE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

Disclosed is a chirally coupled core optical fibre and a manufacturing method therefor, which relate to the field of laser transmission and amplification in optical fibres. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps of: processing a semi-finished product of a guide fibre core preform and a semi-finished product of a satellite fibre core preform, so as to form a satellite fibre core preform and a guide fibre core preform provided with a fibre core slot; embedding the satellite fibre core preform into the fibre core slot; performing fused tapering at the end of the guide fibre core preform to form a chirally coupled core optical fibre preform; and performing fused wire-drawing on the chirally coupled core optical fibre preform, so as to form a chirally coupled core optical fibre. The output optical beam quality of the chirally coupled core optical fibre is less than 1.1, the fundamental mode loss thereof is less than 0.5 dB/m, and the high-order mode loss thereof is more than 100 dB/m.
