According to embodiments of the present invention, a portable healthcare gateway device may include a Bluetooth module, an HDP (Health Device Profile) gateway controller receiving data through the Bluetooth module from at least one personal healthcare device (PHD) supporting an HDP Bluetooth profile, processing the received data, and transmitting an instruction for controlling an operation of the PHD to the PHD, and a USB controller that, when being connected to an external USB host device via a USB interface, operates as a USB slave of the USB host device. In this case, the USB controller is logically connected with the USB host device via the USB interface so that the Bluetooth module is not recognized as a Bluetooth device, and the USB controller receives power from the USB host device via the USB interface and provides the received power to the Bluetooth module and the HDP gateway controller. |
