PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing structure of a straight tube type discharge lamp capable of reducing a risk of breakage of the straight tube type discharge lamp in comparison with hitherto, when an impact force is applied onto a packing box storing the straight tube type discharge lamp.SOLUTION: A packing structure of a straight tube type discharge lamp 10 having a cylindrical part on a part of a glass arc tube having a pair of built-in electrodes 17, 18 includes a packing box having a storage recess 30 for storing the straight tube type discharge lamp, and a buffer material 37 positioned between the straight tube type discharge lamp and the storage recess, and sandwiched between the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical part and the inner peripheral surface of the storage recess. |
