PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a video where a bright horizontal band-like image in a screen, which occurs due to influence of flash light when an electronic shutter is used, is reduced in an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: When a flash light detecting section 105 determines that a video signal generated in an imaging section 101 when an electronic shutter is used is affected by flash light, the imaging section 101 moves up the next timing of a read signal, and thus generates a video signal including a next unit image in which an exposure period continues and whose exposure time is the same following the video signal including a unit image determined to be affected by the flash light. A flash light correction section 106 generates a video signal in which a band-like bright part due to the influence of the flash light is corrected by using the video signal including the unit image determined to be affected by the flash light and a video signal including the next unit image which follows the unit image. |
